As a former Assistant to the President & CEO and athlete, she developed a profound passion for delving into her personal yoga practice and Integral Theory. This journey led her to discover the harmony and joy inherent in every facet of therapy, embracing a holistic approach to mind, body, and spirit.
While Emily initially embraced Vinyasa in her personal practice, she has since expanded her expertise in various disciplines, including Pranayama, Meditation, Mindfulness in Daily Life, Karma Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Couples Yoga, Integral Yoga, Viniyoga, Yoga Nidra, Yin, Restorative, Corporate Yoga, Yoga in the Classroom, and Children's Yoga. Emily holds the E-RYT500 Certification, is a proud member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT), and is actively participating in the MVP Yoga Therapy Program in Austin, TX.
As T.K.V. Desikachar wisely said, "Anyone who wants to can practice yoga. Anybody can breathe; therefore, anybody can practice yoga. But no one can practice every kind of yoga. It has to be the right yoga for the person. The student and teacher (guide) meet and decide on a program that is acceptable and suitable to the person."
